About the event
Love Your Kinks is a hands-on, interactive experience where girls explore the history, versatility, and beauty of Black hair through conversation, creativity, and play. Through activities that include learning their hair type, exploring natural ingredients, friendly challenges, and creating their own custom hair care product, girls build pride, confidence, and real knowledge. This workshop celebrates hair in all its forms while reinforcing that caring for your hair is an extension of self-love.
The goal of this event is to shift how girls see and care for their hair by combining cultural education with practical hair care knowledge. The workshop reinforces pride, confidence, and self-awareness while teaching girls that understanding their hair—and honoring it—is a powerful form of self-love.
