LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Welcome to the Girls on F.Y.E.R. Leadership Academy — where girls of color step into their power, their stories, and their futures. Our Leadership Academy is a eight month program designed to provide a holistic and empowering experience, equipping girls ages 11-19 with the tools they need to thrive personally, academically, and socially. As a member of LA you will have the opportunity to grow as a leader, connect with your roots, and own your brilliance.
Here, at SGOF every girl is part of a community that listens with intention, centers identity, and fuels excellence. Be a part of a special sisterhood with mentors that understand, friends on stand by and a safe space where voices aren't just heard - they're celebrated! Through this awesome journey, fierce leadership skills are developed, barriers are broken, inner freedom is gained, and minds are liberated.

WE FOCUS ON FIVE KEY SKILL AREAS
PROGRAM MODULES
Module 1: Self Empowerment & Critical Reflection
Module One is all about spiritual and personal growth. Discover how to deepen sense of identity and purpose in life. Boost self-esteem, enhance life and social skills, and strengthen literacy skills.
Module 2: Youth Advocacy Training
Module Two where the focus is on unlocking strengths and embracing growth. Boost self-confidence, find sense of belonging, and master differentiating between self-advocacy, peer advocacy, and systems-level advocacy. Effectively speak out on social, political, and cultural issues affecting you and those who share the same journey.
Module 3: Character Development
Module Three, the grand finale! Explore core character traits and learn to identify them in oneself and others. Engage in role-playing and real-life modeling to refine, grow, and repeat characteristics that embody the best version of oneself.
