Located in the heart of Downtown Waterbury, the SGOF Leadership was generously donated by a local philanthropist. The SGOF team is thrilled to be a part of the rejuvenation of Waterbury's core while serving our central mission.
Leadership @ The Center
The Leadership Center was established based on the vision of Founder Jacquee Porter, a native of Waterbury who has devoted her life to mentoring and empowering girls facing challenges and remains strongly connected to her community. Jacquee has revitalized a long-term vacant property in Downtown Waterbury, transforming it into a beacon of hope and inspiration. This space serves as a safe haven where young black and brown girls can flourish and take the lead, ensuring that girls of color are recognized, heard, and equipped to drive positive change.
