ELEVATING GIRLS OF COLOR
CREATING
BRIGHT FUTURES

Save Girls on F.Y.E.R.'s mission is to motivate, inspire, and empower girls of color to become Future Young Educated Role Models. SGOF envisions a world in which Black and Brown girls are educated, liberated and celebrated.

OUR VALUES

SGOF LEADERSHIP & LIBERATION CENTER

Located in the heart of Downtown Waterbury, the SGOF Leadership & Liberation Center was a generous donation from a local philanthropist. The SGOF team is thrilled to be a part of the rejuvenation of Waterbury's core while serving our central mission.

Leadership @ The Center

The Leadership Center was established based on the vision of Founder Jacquee Porter, a native of Waterbury who has devoted her life to mentoring and empowering girls facing challenges and remains strongly connected to her community. Jacquee has revitalized a long-term vacant property in Downtown Waterbury, transforming it into a beacon of hope and inspiration. This space serves as a safe haven where young black and brown girls can flourish and take the lead, ensuring that girls of color are recognized, heard, and equipped to drive positive change.

Liberation @ The Center

The Liberation Center aspires to extend its impact beyond Waterbury. Through its co-working space, it invites community collaboration, aligning with our mission to advocate for women's rights, empower girls in leadership roles, and address local issues. While the Liberation Center is still under construction, the SGOF team are actively raising capital to continue its renovation and open its door.

Your support helps us continue the renovation of the Liberation Center, ensuring it becomes a hub for education, liberation, and celebration for girls and the community.
