About the event
The Let Black Girls Live: Black Girl Summer Social Series is a four-part community conversation series created and led by girls in Save Girls on F.Y.E.R.'s Liberation Academy. Centering the voices, experiences, and leadership of Black and brown girls ages 12+, each session combines meaningful dialogue with a fun Summer Social atmosphere featuring a live DJ, games, snacks, and opportunities to connect.
Double Jeopardy. Double Power. invites girls, their parents, caregivers, families, educators, community members, and allies into a bold conversation about navigating a world that too often overlooks them. Curated by the Liberation Academy Girls, this session examines how race and gender intersect in the everyday experiences of Black girls; explores the barriers and opportunities that shape their educational journeys; and discovers how knowledge becomes a powerful tool for advocacy and liberation. This is a space where challenges are named honestly, and power is claimed unapologetically.
